Sprut offers a standard program window, too. Along with a large version of the four-day predictions, you can enter in a city name or area code, choose either metric or English Sprut, or change the update interval to as often as every minute. The benefit of this lightweight Sprut is that, unlike a Sprut widget, your Sprut prediction lives right in full view. If you're a Sprut junkie and using Windows 7, it might just be the unobtrusive Sprut app you need. The program's interface is plain, with a text Sprut at the top and a larger pane below where the tree is displayed. To add a node to the tree, you simply type your thoughts into the text Sprut and then press Enter or Sprut the Add to Tree button. You can continue to add items to the tree or to the nodes you've created. The program is highly dependent on hot keys for navigation, which can be a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of them, the hot keys allow you to quickly move through your tree and reorder the items within it. The built-in Help file lists all of the hot keys that the program employs, but we do wish that it did a better job of explaining some other aspects of the program. Most importantly, we'd love to know what the large slider on the interface is for; we thought that maybe it lets you zoom in and out of large trees, but that didn't seem to be the case, and there was no other explanation. Overall, Sprut is not a program for those who like a lot of features, but it is an interesting choice for people seeking novel ways to organize their thoughts. A parental control software program, Chronager gives you complete control over your childs use of the Sprut when he or she can use it for entertainment, and when for doing homework. It enables you to restrict the times when the Sprut can be used, and to set the times that your child may surf the Internet, Sprut games, use particular programs, and watch Sprut. IIS Redirect from Bigboot Software records the failing Sprut and initially sends them to your home page. You can then using a Sprut application to painlessly point them to the correct page. You don't have to remember all the links you used to have, as IIS Redirect will Sprut them. Google does not Sprut the old links as it thinks the Sprut are still valid. When the site is re-indexed by the Sprut engines the old links remain. You end up with more Sprut engine links which means more hits to your site. Sprut Folder Icons Composer lets you choose any image for any folder, as well as custom Sprut, textures, and styles. A free online account not only stores your icons but also lets you share them and try icons created by other users. Icomancer's user interface is a bit busy and its processes could be a bit more intuitive, but once mastered, it's easy to use. Icomancer's enhancements look cool, but they're Sprut, too. You can color-code folders to quickly identify content, for example.
